NFL Star's Wild McDonald's Meal Shocks Fans: 'That's Just Wrong'

A lot of people swear that hot fries dipped in a cold Wendy's Frosty are the best way to enjoy sweet and salty foods together. What about a hamburger with ice cream on top? This new food combination is making a lot of noise on social media.

Wide receiver for the Detroit Lions, Jameson Williams, recently posted a picture of a strange food on his Instagram story: a McDonald's McDouble topped with a big scoop of an Oreo McFlurry.

As soon as the picture showed up again on X, which used to be Twitter, many fans were quick to comment on the strange fast-food pairing.

Other people on social media were surprised that McDonald's had an ice cream machine that worked, since the chain is known for having ice cream makers that don't work very often.

"Salty and sweet go well together." This is the same reason why some people put milkshakes on their fries or use a cookie as a bun.

"It's not like putting cheese on a burger is a new idea; chocolate-covered bacon is a thing," one X user wrote. "you guys are getting too caught up in the form factor and are ignoring the flavor composition."

This isn't the first time an NFL player shared an unusual food mix that caused a stir on social media. One X user said this about Williams' latest food pairing: "Still not as bad as Will Levis putting mayo in his coffee."

When Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis said that he sometimes puts mayonnaise in his coffee in 2022, the story went viral.

Even though the football player later said that he had only put the condiment in his coffee as a joke, the popular video got Levis a deal with Hellmann's that gave him a lifetime supply of mayonnaise.
